The Plant and Book House

Welcome to the Plant and Book House, your home away from home in Durham, North Carolina! Built in 1924, the Plant and Book House is completely furnished including new appliances. Full galley kitchen with fridge, toaster over, microwave, and gas... stove. The comfortable bungalow has a lot of natural light, hard wood floors, and a simple floor plan. The living room opens to the kitchen, and a hallway area connects two roomy bedrooms. The central bathroom has a clawfoot bathtub with shower. The bed rooms each have a desk to work at. There is high speed internet and wifi (ATT fiber). There is a large, screened in porch with table and chairs as well as a secure keyless entry. Outside, native trees and plants along with camellias give the house beauty and privacy. It is the perfect place to commute to work or work from home. Explore and get to know Durham from this quiet neighborhood street, which is a short walk to Northgate Park, and a bus ride or short drive to downtown Durham, Duke University, and all the Durham hospitals.

The house has steps to get into it for both the front and back entrances, an old fashioned clawfoot tub, with modern new plumbing, that you need to step up and into. No smoking or vaping anywhere on the premises. No pets allowed and no parties as this is a quiet neighborhood street.

1 month to 6 month lease. Deposit required. Please email with any questions.
