I lived here for one year as a Duke grad student and the best way to sum up Trinity is: The apartments are expensive and the management is poor, but they can afford to be bad because they know someone is willing to pay a premium for how close it is to Duke. The amenities seem to not have been taken care of since they were built. The outside entertainment area is always gross. Half the gym equipment is falling apart and they would not fix it. Many doors around the complex are broken. It's overall... in a state of disrepair. We had a severe leak in our unit that took them several months to do a poor job of repairing. And after our many complaints how did they try to make it up to us? Raising our rent 300. Get real. There are much better options in Durham. The proximity to Duke is not seen as a feature, it's an excuse for them to suck.

I am moving to Durham for a job and looked through 30-40 different complexes including this one. I saw their website and was amazed by the amenities as well as the proximity to Duke, downtown, and various restaurants. When I called to inquire about their availability, I spoke with Lucy and her enthusiasm was unmatched compared to most property managers. She was knowledgeable about the property and has continued to be kind since that first conversation. I was sold over the phone because I got... good vibes from her, and then when I saw the apartments, they looked better in person than they did online; usually, the opposite is true. Lucy took the time to pick out apartments that she thought would interest me and even took me on a 2nd tour later that day just to include my dad. One thing I appreciate was that she made my dad feel welcome at the property too. This whole process from me showing interest to moving in has felt more than just transactional. It has truly felt like joining a community where I can feel comfortable and at home.
If you are interested in these apartments, I would truly encourage you to check them out and to speak with the people who work here. In addition to Lucy, I've spoken to multiple other people here and they are all wonderful and have been kind and professional. I hope your experience will be as good as or better than mine

AJ and Jeremy respond so quickly to all service requests and are kind, respectful, and always do a great job helping me with whatever I may need in my apartment.

This place is awesome. The location is great. The amenities are super. But, what makes TC the best is the people. Andrea, Sara and Emri are the best amenities that TC has. They are always there with a smile and to lend a hand, offer an explanation or give support. In addition, they always have treats for the dogs. My little dog was so spoiled by his “office aunties”. TC is the best apartment complex I ever lived in, hands down.

Living at Trinity Commons was a wonderful experience! You can't beat this location, especially if you are a student, researcher, or work in the Duke hospital. The units and facilities are beautifully maintained, their gym and pool/sauna/hot tub areas were great, and the staff was very friendly. Although there are many people living in the building, the front office always remembered me by name and said hello! They really care about the people who live here.
