I really enjoyed living in this apartment. I went to undergrad and graduate school at Duke University and have visited many apartments. For the price, I think it is a great deal. It is close to campus, when the weather is nice I enjoy walking to class. There is also a Duke Campus bus stop that is right in front of the complex. The apartment complex has so many students so there would be times that I would come home very late from the library and there would be lots of apartments that still had... lights on so I felt more safe walking from my car to my apartment. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit as well as a nice patio area. I loved the hardwood floors and the pantry was very spacious. I found the bathrooms to be small, but I lived in a two bedroom by myself, so I was able to keep it clean and organized.
The staff are so accommodating. I have two guinea pigs and it was never a problem. My mom was visiting and the toilet seat broke a couple of days before her arrival. Although this isn't a super emergency, I was able to get a maintenance person out to bring a new toilet seat the next day. They helped facilitate the move out process easily. I was graduating and unsure of what I was doing next. I was constantly changing my mind on what I wanted to do and I found everyone to be very patient and understanding.
With it being my first time renting an apartment alone, I thought this was a great first experience.
